Step 1
Contact

We can’t wait to hear from you! Just give us a call to get started. We love taking on new projects and learning about our clients. A few things we do to get to know you better:

Ask in-depth questions to better understand your vision and needs

Collect your contact information and note how you’d prefer to hear back from us—by text, phone, email, etc.

Set your first appointment with a project manager

Do a bit of research about your home or building to prepare for our initial appointment

2

Estimate

Step 2
Estimate

No one likes sticker shock. When you receive an estimate from us, you won’t be surprised because you are the one setting the budget. We work with you from the start to truly understand your budget—and then we design to stay within it. Here’s how we develop an estimate for your painting project:

Meet you onsite to discuss your vision and delve deeper into your personality, space usage, and goals

Assess the amount of work needed to make your dreams a reality

Suggest materials, solutions, and timeframes that meet your goals and budget as well as make the space uniquely yours

Provide a detailed scope of work, costs, and expectations

3

Commitment

Step 3
Commitment

Once you approve the project and budget, it’s go time! We are always thrilled when clients choose us for their project. When you commit to us, we make it official by:

Finalizing the exact scope of work and details

Scheduling an initial color consultation

Applying your security deposit to solidify the relationship between parties

Learning why you chose D.J.’s Painting & Remodeling, Inc. so we can tailor your project experience to what is important to you

Step 4
color consultation

Here’s where all of your color ideas begin to take shape! We want to make sure every detail you have in mind is included, so we’ll continue asking many in depth questions. As we go, you can expect:

Discussions on how you want to transform the space and the style you want to achieve

Custom color suggestions from our designer that match your vision

Expert advice on color trends and coordinating with existing fabrics and palettes

Provide color boards with actual paint applied (rather than a printed color chip) so you can see the product and sheen as it will truly look in your home

5

Product
Selection

Step 5
Product Selection

Choosing the right products for your paint application takes an expert. Our team goes with you every step of the way! We:

Determine which product to use for the space

Manage the selection to stay in-budget and balance costs versus products available to best suit the needs of your space

Inspect the area prior to painting with a product specialist to verify proper product usage

Provide final color boards with your actual product, color, and sheen being used in the space for final approval

6

Scheduling

Step 6
Scheduling

Painting projects are exciting! But prepping the space can be a bit disruptive to your home or business. That’s why we do our best to minimize the disruption by:

Using a fluid scheduling approach to adjust the crews as needed from day to day to keep the project moving forward

Determining which order to paint your rooms based on the needs of your family or business, so there is as little disruption as possible in your work or home life

Noting your special events on our calendar so our team works to meet deadlines

Providing you a checklist of customer expectations in regard to prepping the space for work

Scheduling a final walkthrough from the start, with every task coordinated to meet that finish date

7

Execution

Step 7
Execution

Your office or home is more than just a worksite to us: it’s where you still live and work. We take the same care and protection of your space as if it were our own. That’s why we craft an individualized plan for executing work at your location. Here are just a few ways we incorporate special care as we bring new life to your space:

Learn about your pets, how we can best care for them as we work, and post signs at gates so your pets stay safely in the yard

Take note of your preferences for entering—calling ahead, knocking on the door vs. ringing the doorbell, designated entrances, etc.

Cover our designated pathway and current work area with plastic to protect your flooring

Make sure the workspace is safe and clean at the end of each day

To assure satisfaction as the job is progressing, our office manager will call you at the end of each day

Keep your keys and access codes secure in our office, distributed only to assigned team members

8

Completion

Step 8
Completion

It’s time to celebrate your newly painted space! We love taking our customers on a walkthrough to show off the final result in your one-of-a–kind project. Here are just a few of the things to expect as the project wraps up:

Walkthrough your space together so we can verify the quality of workmanship meets your expectations as well as ours

Confirm our ongoing support by keeping a file of all colors and products used in your project for future reference

Provide a Certificate of Warranty that guarantees our workmanship for a full year

Should you have any questions or issues with the work in the future, we commit to timely correction of deficiencies

Apply your final payment and celebrate your newly painted space

The carpenter did a superb job. We received quality work for a fair price and appreciated working with a specific team dedicated to our project.

Steve Clogston

Very responsive and addressed my concerns throughout the process. The owner accelerated our start date based on my phone call, which he answered himself after hours. It's nice to see the owner involved and concerned with the daily details. Overall, I'm very satisfied-well done! The final visit with the owner resulted in their offer to immediately paint an area that had been accidentally scraped. It was done within an hour-beyond my expectations.

The home needed part of the job done earlier, to powerwash the deck, due to a family event.  The project manager was terrific!  The business was much more than I had hoped for.  It made my own situation vastly easier helping my friend, Masako Takayasu.

Ron Frazier

I really appreciated that the owner took the time to understand what I wanted and helped me make decisions to realize the project.
