Step 1
Contact

We can’t wait to hear from you! Just give us a call to get started. We love taking on new projects and learning about our clients. A few things we do to get to know you better:

Ask in-depth questions to better understand your vision and needs

Collect your contact information and note how you’d prefer to hear back from us—by text, phone, email, etc.

Set your first appointment with a project manager

Do a bit of research about your home or building to prepare for our initial appointment

2

Estimate

Step 2
Estimate

No one likes sticker shock. When you receive an estimate from us, you won’t be surprised because you are the one setting the budget. We work with you from the start to truly understand your budget—and then we design to stay within it. Here’s how we develop an estimate for your remodeling project:

Meet you onsite to discuss your vision and delve deeper into your personality, space usage, and goals

Assess the amount of work needed to make your dreams a reality

Suggest materials, design solutions, and timeframes that meet your design goals and budget as well as make the space uniquely yours

Provide a detailed scope of work, costs, and expectations

3

Commitment

Step 3
Commitment

Once you approve the project and budget, it’s go time! We are always thrilled when clients choose us for their project. When you commit to us, we make it official by:

Finalizing the exact scope of work and details

Learning why you chose D.J.’s Painting & Remodeling, Inc. so we can tailor your project experience to what is important to you

Applying your security deposit to solidify the relationship between parties

4

Design
Consultation

Step 4
Design Consultation

Ready for the fun part? Here is where your vision begins to take shape! We want to convert every detail you have in mind and bring it to life in your space. Don’t have a vision? No stress—together we will develop one. As we go with you, this is how we can make your dream a reality:

Discussions on how you will use the space and all the functions you need from it

Measurements and spacing of all components to make sure everything will fit as you imagine it will

CAD drawings or sketches to show you the layout

Designing all of the small touches that make your space unique to your personality and lifestyle

5

Product
Selection

Step 5
Product Selection

Choosing the right products to fulfill the design can be overwhelming. That’s why we handle all the appointments, meet you at the showrooms, and even narrow the options to fit your design and budget. As we go with you every step of the way, our dedicated designer will:

Schedule appointments at showrooms and meet to select products and finishes

Recommend products based on cost, ease of installation, durability, and long-term maintenance

Ensure design elements selected result in a cohesive space

Manage the product selection to stay in-budget and calculate the difference in cost if you want to consider an upgrade or a more cost-effective solution

Discuss lead times and dates to accommodate your schedule and upcoming events

6

Scheduling

Step 6
Scheduling

Remodeling projects are exciting! But demo and construction are always a bit disruptive to your home or business. That’s why we do our best to minimize the disruption by

Using a fluid scheduling approach to adjust the crews as needed from day to day to keep the project moving forward

Noting your special events on our calendar so our team works to meet deadlines

Providing you a checklist of customer expectations in regard to prepping the space for work

Scheduling a final walkthrough from the start, with every task coordinated to meet that finish date

7

Execution

Step 7
Execution

Your home or office is more than just a worksite to us: it’s where you still live and work. We take the same care and protection of your space as if it were our own. That’s why we craft an individualized plan for executing work at your location. Here are just a few ways we incorporate special care as we bring new life to your space:

Learn about your pets, how we can best care for them as we work, and post signs at gates so your pets stay safely in the yard

Take note of your preferences for entering—calling ahead, knocking on the door vs. ringing the doorbell, designated entrances, etc.

Cover our designated pathway and current work area with plastic to protect your flooring

Make sure the workspace is safe and clean at the end of each day

To assure satisfaction as the job is progressing, our office manager will call you at the end of each day

Keep your keys and access codes secure in our office, distributed only to assigned team members

8

Completion

Step 8
Completion

It’s time to celebrate your new space! We love taking our customers on a walkthrough to show off the final result in your one-of-a–kind project. Here are just a few of the things to expect as the project wraps up:

Walkthrough your new space together so we can verify the quality of workmanship meets your expectations as well as ours

Confirm our ongoing support by keeping a file of all products, colors, and parts used in your project for future reference

Provide a Certificate of Warranty that guarantees our workmanship for a full year

Should you have any questions or issues with the work in the future, we commit to timely correction of deficiencies

Apply your final payment and celebrate your new space
